About Us

Sparsh is a Sanskrit word which means gentle touch. Touch is one of the largest sensory organs in human body.  Just one touch can help to release all your happy hormones which indirectly helps with making you feel good, happy and reduce pain. This is the philosophy we use at Sparsh. We use touch as our technique to help you heal from different things.

At sparsh our main focus is to help you to treat the cause and source of the pain and not just the symptoms. Our therapist takes time to do detailed initial consultation so they can help you as much as possible to achieve your goal. Our therapist are highly trained and experienced. At sparsh we want to provide a safe space for all our clients to heal. Muscles hold tension created from physical work or emotional and hormonal changes or having gut issues or just having stress or from old and new injuries. And we help to release all that tension through holistic approach.

At sparsh we strongly believe in educating our clients with what is happening and how we can help them.

Helping you do what you love.

From sports to pregnancy massages, soft tissue to deep tissue, I believe that every massage treatment provides my clients a safe space to be themselves and be looked after physically and mentally.

Massage is both a science and an art. I’ve seen my clients gain relief from a wide range of challenges from musculoskeletal issues to mental distress, to reducing inflammation and tension, and aiding their circulation and sleep.

Our body is capable of wonderful things. Regular and effective massage helps restore our muscles and mind, and alleviate pain, soreness and stiffness, so that we can perform at our best.

Meet The Director
Riddhi Shah

I grew up in India, where I studied and worked in physiotherapy. This made me realise the importance of addressing the root causes of pain, not just the symptoms. I have also done a certification in oncology massage and certification in pregnancy and post pregnancy massage with some advanced skills and techniques.

In 2013, I moved to Aotearoa and worked in various health and wellbeing roles. Four years on, I became a massage therapist. This is my passion.

If right now you’re experiencing physical or emotional pain, stress or injuries, and you’re looking for holistic, non-judgmental support and someone you can trust, a Sparsh massage gives you the care you need.

Everyone is different. That’s why I take time to consult with you – asking about your concerns and symptoms, the activities you do and what you’d like to achieve. This helps us come up with a personalised treatment plan.

Whatever your age, background or health challenges, I want to help you feel better, freer and more relaxed; experience less pain and tension and recover faster – so that you can get back to doing what you love.

It’s a privilege to hear your story and play a role in your wellbeing.

Massage Therapist
Dhara Patel

Recognising the imperative of alleviating physical discomfort of people and promoting physical wellness, I pursued a career in physiotherapy. I gained extensive experience working with diverse patients. Each day, I find fulfilment in assisting patients through their rehabilitation journeys, advocating for community health initiatives, and providing compassionate support. My experiences continue to reinforce my belief in the profound impact of physiotherapy on individuals and communities.

Born in the vibrant landscapes of India, I discovered my passion for physiotherapy early on, recognising its potential to bring healing and good physical health to communities. Completing my studies in 2014, I delved into clinical practice with fervour, specialising in orthopaedic and neurological care. Over the years, I gained invaluable experience, honing my skills and deepening my understanding of the human body’s complexities.

In pursuit of growth and new challenges, I made the bold decision to relocate to New Zealand with my family. The move represented not just a change in scenery but an opportunity to broaden my horizons and embrace diverse perspectives. Settling into the picturesque surroundings, I immersed myself in the local community, eager to contribute to its health and wellness. Expanding my skill set, I completed a certificate course in deep tissue massage, complementing my expertise in physiotherapy. This additional qualification empowered me to offer a more comprehensive approach to massage therapies.

My journey reaffirms my belief in the transformative power of massage therapy. It’s not merely about treating ailments; it’s about fostering holistic well-being and empowering individuals to live their best lives. As I continue along this path, I am grateful for the trust placed in me by those I am privileged to serve. Let’s work together to create a world where everyone can thrive and where compassion and health have no boundaries.
